EMPLOYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Crestview Cable Communications has an opening for a part-time commissioned direct sales person. This position involves door to door sales and would include evenings and weekends. Sales experience is required and cable television experience is helpful.
Successful applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, a background check and have a valid Oregon Drivers License and good driving record.

III. RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES
TYPE OF RECRUITMENT INITIATIVE
1. Training program designed to help staff members gain skills to advance to higher level positions.
On July 21st 2009 the General Manager, Vice-President of Cable Operations and the Marketing Director all attended sessions at the Oregon Cable Communications Association meeting. The sessions covered a wide variety of topics including: Ad Sales, Marketing, Technical Innovation and Political sessions. The goal was to further educate the attendees to further enhance their career paths.
2. Internship Program
Our paid internship/school to work program is designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for full time employment in the cable industry. We have one high school student involved in the program for the entire year.
3. Training program designed to help staff members gain skills to advance to highter level positions.
Crestview pays for the training and certification of techical staff so that they can advance to new job levels. Three staff members were involved in training during the period.
